Broomsticks Ink started life several years ago, when trying to think of a name to put on the back of my home-made cards etc.. My involvement in Wicca and in collecting witch ornaments from various places I visited, promtped the name Broomsticks and that has stuck with me ever since.
Any spare time I may have is generally centred around my dogs. We currently have two Saluki's and a Saluki/Greyhound cross, which is a rescue. We have had a few dogs including a cocker spaniel, which sadly died, at the age of fourteen and a half about three years ago. Through our dogs we have met several lovely people and I have made cards etc. for them on special occasions using pictures of their dogs which in some cases I have photographed and sometimes they have supplied pictures for me to use. Although I still make dog cards, I have now branched out into other aspects of card making. Card making has become an immensely popular pastime, and there are so many avenues to go down, but whatever I do, any money I make, goes to Saluki Welfare, who perform the thankless task of rescuing and rehoming unwanted Saluki's, although I cannot understand why anybody would not want or harm such a beautiful intelligent dog!!
I have recently started making specialised cards to celebrate the eight Wiccan seasonal festivals. Every card contains a small packet of resin incense, ready to add to charcoal. Each incense has been especially prepared by my husband who has been a practitioner of the Craft for over 35 years. You can view the few cards that are available so far, by clicking of the link above. More will be added shortly, so make sure you keep coming back to the site.
If you like my site and would like to purchase any of the cards that I have listed, please email me by clicking on the link below. Or if you would like to send a donation to Saluki Welfare, please send your cheque made payable to The Saluki Welfare Fund c/o Mrs. Daphne Parnham,
